The 2012 Surf Guardian Aquathlon & 5K will take place on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at 8 am, at Sunsplash Park in Daytona Beach, FL. The event will consist of a 1K Beach Run, a 1K Ocean Swim, and a 5K Run through the World's Most Famous Beach! The race will be professionally timed, and is sanctioned by USAT. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Volusia Surf Lifesaving Association, a non-profit corporation made up of local ocean lifeguards, that serves to educate and inform about the dangers of rip currents, and promotes safe, fun, beach lifestyle choices. This will be a challenging, fun event for the whole family.
